Volleyball Recap: Shelley Russets vs. Hillcrest Knights
Shelley took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Hillcrest, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Russets narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Knights 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Russets have posted since August 23rd.
Shelley took Hillcrest into a fifth set where they got it done with a nine-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15, 15-6.

Leading Shelley to victory were Emmersyn Drollinger and Jaida Cook. Drollinger had 15 digs, while Cook had 16 digs, 12 kills, and three blocks. That's the most digs Cook has posted since back in October of 2024.
