Softball Game Preview: Robinson Rams vs. West Potomac Wolverines

The Robinson Rams will take on the West Potomac Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Robinson fell victim to West Springfield and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 13-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Rams haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, West Potomac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-2 to Lake Braddock, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

West Potomac saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stella Weeks, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

West Potomac's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Robinson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Everything went Robinson's way against West Potomac in their previous meeting back in April, as Robinson made off with a 20-2 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
