Football Recap: Bryan Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Bryan's offense. They were outmatched by the Lincoln East Spartans and fell 41-0. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Spartans are ranked 26th).

Lincoln East was led to victory by Turner Wilkie and Huxton Katt. Wilkie rushed for 50 yards and a pair of scores, while Katt gained 107 total yards and a touchdown. Landen Lingenfelter also helped with two TDs in total.

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lincoln East, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Bryan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 42-7 loss against Kearney on the 24th. As for Lincoln East, they have also already played their next contest, a 27-14 victory against Lincoln Southeast on the 24th.
