Football Recap: Bryan Takes a Loss

Bryan fell victim to Lincoln East and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Spartans 41-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost five in a row.

Lincoln East was led to victory by Turner Wilkie and Huxton Katt. Wilkie rushed for 50 yards and two scores, while Katt gained 107 total yards and a touchdown. Jake Gerdts helped out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards.

Bryan's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lincoln East, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Coming up, Bryan will venture away from home to face off against Kearney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln East, they will square off against Lincoln Southeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
