Volleyball Game Preview: Gibbon Buffaloes vs. Overton Eagles

Gibbon is 1-8 against Overton since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Buffaloes will face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m.

Gibbon lost 3-0 to Kenesaw on Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-5, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Overton earned a 2-0 win over Alma on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won nine in a row.

While Overton might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Alma scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Gibbon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Overton, their win bumped their record up to 19-2.

Gibbon suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Overton when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Buffaloes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
