Baseball Preview: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. Cumberland Clippers        
        
		
            The Mt. Hope Huskies are taking a road trip to  take on the Cumberland Clippers  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. The  teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Mt. Hope has struggled recently with nine losses in a row, while Cumberland will arrive with five straight  wins.
Mt. Hope came up short against  Cranston West on Monday, falling  14-3.

  Trace Dubois was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  runs. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.  Brian Abbruzzi was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  double.
Meanwhile, Cumberland faced Moses Brown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Clippers were the clear victors by  a  7-1 margin over the Quakers.
 Liam Monahan tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Brody Enos was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aidan Ray, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs.
 Cumberland's victory was  their fifth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 12-4. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Mt. Hope, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
 Mt. Hope suffered a grim  21-1 defeat to Cumberland  in their previous meeting  two weeks ago. Can the Huskies avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
