Recap: Moriah Vikings vs. Stillwater Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Moriah Vikings can now relate to. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stillwater on Saturday. Moriah's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Stillwater's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaxon Mueller, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 60 yards and a touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. Thomas Mcdonough got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Moriah's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Stillwater, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Moriah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stillwater will take on Haldane at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Haldane will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
