Millikan has gone a perfect 10-0 against Compton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Tarbabes at 4:00 p.m. Millikan's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Compton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Millikan took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over San Dimas. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Daunte Bell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Austin Brett looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
Bell wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Amado, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI. Ethan Briones also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
While Compton didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over Lennox Academy on Monday. With that win, the Tarbabes brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Compton got a big performance out of Luis Galaviz, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. Anthony Lopez was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
The victory got Millikan back to even at 4-4. As for Compton, their record now sits at 5-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Millikan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Compton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Millikan's way against Compton in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Millikan made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
