Baseball Game Preview: Bethlehem Center Bulldogs vs. Carmichaels Mighty Mikes

Bethlehem Center is 1-9 against Carmichaels since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mighty Mikes at 7:00 p.m. Neither Bethlehem Center nor Carmichaels posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Bethlehem Center fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Brownsville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Brody Bebout spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Bethlehem Center saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Wright, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Carmichaels fell victim to Jeannette and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They fell just short of the Jayhawks by a score of 2-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Mighty Mikes were not able to get on the board.

Carmichaels' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4-1. As for Bethlehem Center, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Bethlehem Center suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Carmichaels in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
