You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Andover's strategy against Chelmsford on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Golden Warriors blew the Lions out of the water with a 41-3 final score. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-3.

Kyle Olson went supernova, throwing for 198 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 99 yards and one score on only 12 carries. Those 99 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Marcus Dejesus was another key player, gaining 147 total yards and a touchdown.

Andover has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.0 points this season. As for Chelmsford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Andover and Chelmsford should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Golden Warriors (ranked 12th) will meet Haverhill (ranked 128th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Chelmsford will challenge Dracut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (51 vs. 213).
