Basketball Recap: First Presbyterian Day Starts Season with Victory Against Central Georgia Arts

First Presbyterian Day took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 70-33 victory over Central Georgia Arts. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jones Handberry had an outrageously good game as he shot 62% from the field to rack up 22 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Gavin Wilson, who went 8-for-12 en route to 16 points.

Central Georgia Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, First Presbyterian Day will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Covenant Academy at 7:30 p.m. As for Central Georgia Arts, they have already played their next game, a 53-48 win against Furlow Charter School on the 14th.
