Soccer Game Preview: Hermon vs. Old Town

The Hermon Hawks will venture away from home to challenge the Old Town Coyotes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Old Town took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Hermon, who comes in off a win.

Hermon is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Mount Desert Island get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory on Wednesday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Hermon's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Old Town fell victim to John Bapst Memorial and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Crusaders, falling 7-0. Old Town have struggled against John Bapst Memorial recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Hermon's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3-1. As for Old Town, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Hermon's way against Old Town in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Hermon made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
