Softball Recap: Stratford Has No Trouble Against Phillips

Stratford won the last time they faced Phillips and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Loggers with a sharp 13-1 victory. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Stratford is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Phillips, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Coming up, Stratford will host Edgar at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Phillips, they will challenge Rib Lake at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
