Baseball Recap: Southeast Comes Up Short

Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to the Lakewood Spartans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Southeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Lakewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Southeast will head out to challenge Booker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Seminoles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tornadoes have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Lakewood, they will face off against Anclote at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
