Basketball Recap: Madelyn Marcezin's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Seneca East over East Aurora

West Seneca East lost against East Aurora back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Seneca East Trojans fell 40-28 to the East Aurora Blue Devils. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Seneca East's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Madelyn Marcezin, who posted ten points and three steals. Marcezin is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

West Seneca East now has a losing record at 1-2. As for East Aurora, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Seneca East will venture away from home to square off against Williamsville South at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for East Aurora, they will head out on the road to challenge City Honors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
