Volleyball Recap: Paul VI Panthers vs. Freedom Eagles
Paul VI gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Freedom Eagles by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Paul VI had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-11, 25-21.
Coco Lewis paced Paul VI's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lewis got some help from Maris Francescon and her 15 assists. Lewis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
