Baseball Game Preview: Clinton Maroons vs. Tolono Unity Rockets

The Clinton Maroons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Tolono Unity Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clinton is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 12-6 to Delavan on Monday.

Brock Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Manning, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Tolono Unity was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against Mahomet-Seymour, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rockets have suffered since May 2, 2024.

Tolono Unity saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Coleton Langendorf, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
