Baseball Recap: Howell Takes Down Ranked Hartland

Howell faced Hartland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Highlanders had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-3. While the Highlanders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Howell pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Hartland, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6-1 record this season.
