Canyon is a perfect 7-0 against San Marcos since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Canyon Cougars will take on the San Marcos Rattlers at 7:00 p.m. Canyon will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Canyon proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Steele.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, San Marcos' good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Steele finished up their game with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Rattlers have been dealt a draw since back in January.

Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 11-6-6. San Marcos' draw gives them a new season record of 11-7-2.

Everything went Canyon's way against San Marcos in their previous matchup back in February, as Canyon made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Canyon since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
