Volleyball Recap: Arcadia's Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Glendale last Wednesday, Arcadia came back down to earth. The Apaches came up short against the Burroughs Bears on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Apaches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Arcadia's loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 24-4. As for Burroughs, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Arcadia and Burroughs should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Apaches (ranked 64th) will meet Burbank (ranked 542nd) at 5:15 p.m. on the 15th. Meanwhile, Burroughs will take on St. Monica at 2:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (26 vs. 408).
