Mason Budd gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April on Tuesday. He tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Chesapeake is 2-1 when Budd allows two or fewer earned runs, but 9-13 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Budd and Chesapeake will take on Symmes Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Budd had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup back in March of 2025 10-1.
