Soccer Game Preview: Holy Cross vs. Forest City

Holy Cross has gone 8-1 against Forest City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Crusaders will face off against the Foresters at 4:15 p.m. Holy Cross' last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If Holy Cross beats Forest City with two goals on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out Old Forge 2-1. That's two games straight that Holy Cross have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Forest City came up short against Elk Lake on Monday, falling 7-1. Forest City haven't had much luck with Elk Lake recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Holy Cross is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Forest City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Everything went Holy Cross' way against Forest City in their previous meeting on September 9th, as Holy Cross made off with an 8-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
