Football Recap: Campus Magnet Falls to Bryant in First Game of Season

Campus Magnet kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 22-8 bruising from the Bryant Owls. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Mahdi Kobeissi was nothing short of spectacular for Bryant: he threw for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also rushed for 125 yards on only eight carries. Kobeissi's longest rush was for an impressive 62 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Campus Magnet didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 22-0 win against KIPP NYC College Prep on the 20th. As for Bryant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 22-0 victory against Far Rockaway on the 20th.
