Kennett's game  on Saturday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Malden Green Wave with a sharp  12-2 win. Considering the Indians have won 20 matches by more than seven  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Handley McAtee was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  struck out 11 batters over  six innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double.
 In other batting news, Kennett let  Lynnley Patterson and  Emma Tinnin run wild. Patterson  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, while  Tinnin  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kynsly McCaig, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  RBI.
 Kennett was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. They are 19-1 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Kennett's victory was  their 12th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 22-6. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Malden, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 20-8.
 Kennett has already played their next contest,  a  15-0  victory against Senath-Hornersville on the 30th. As for Malden, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  a  10-0  win against Puxico on the 1st.
