Softball Recap: Lakeside Christian Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lakeside Christian can now relate to. They took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indian Rocks Christian Eagles on Monday. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Lex Mello made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Christine Trofemuk, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Lakeside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Indian Rocks Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-18.

Lakeside Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indian Rocks Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-0 defeat against Shorecrest Prep on the 29th.
