Soccer Game Preview: Newton-Conover vs. Foard

The Newton-Conover Red Devils will square off against the Foard Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Newton-Conover is headed into the matchup having not lost since August 22 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand West Iredell a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. Considering Newton-Conover have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Foard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Bunker Hill 3-2.

Newton-Conover's win bumped their record up to 14-1-2. As for Foard, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8-1.

Newton-Conover came out on top in a nail-biter against Foard in their previous matchup back in September, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
