Softball Game Preview: Nardin Academy Gators vs. Lancaster Legends

After both having extra time off, the Nardin Academy Gators and the Lancaster Legends will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Two weeks ago, Nardin Academy came up short against Nichols and fell 12-9.

Madison Scarpace made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Scarpace is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Madeline Dehn, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Lancaster had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 7-4 to Orchard Park two weeks ago.

Lancaster saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peytyn Chojnacki, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Nardin Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Nardin Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Lancaster in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. Will the Gators repeat their success, or do the Legends have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
