Basketball Game Preview: Stratford Prep Lions vs. Mid-Peninsula Dragons

The Stratford Prep Lions will square off against the Mid-Peninsula Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stratford Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Stratford Prep is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 57-41 bruising from Calvary Christian Academy two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Mid-Peninsula didn't have too much trouble with KIPP Esperanza on Tuesday as they won 59-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Stratford Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mid-Peninsula, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 8-10.

Stratford Prep might still be hurting after the 60-37 defeat they got from Mid-Peninsula in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mid-Peninsula's Oliver Carpenter, who posted 29 points and six steals.
