League recap: Berumen overpowering for Enochs in past week

Modesto Metro league recap: 5/14/12

Modesto Metro's top pitcher this week was Jackson Berumen. He won two games and struck out 22 batters.

Enochs beat Beyer this week, 4-3, in a matchup of the league's top two teams on Wednesday. Enochs leads the league with a 12-0 record, and has an overall record of 15-9.

Gregori's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only nine-hundred-ninety-nine hits and two walks, both of which led the league. Gregori's pitchers have been charged with only 126 hits and have struck out 58 batters. Todd Stewart is tops on the staff with 20 Ks.

Johansen had a league-high 21 steals as a team this week, but still trails Davis, which has 53 on the year, for the season lead. Dante Siler has racked up 10 steals on his own this season for the Vikings.



The Eagles closer Sisk Dalton recorded two saves this week, most in the league. He ranks second in the league with two saves this season.

Gus Anderson was the player of the game on Wednesday, with four RBIs in Johansen's 3-1 victory over Davis
