Basketball Recap: Fall River Bulldogs vs. Mt. Shasta Bears

If the Fall River Bulldogs were riding high off their 68-22 takedown of the Etna Lions last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Fall River fell 56-47 to the Bears on Friday. Fall River has struggled against the Bears recently, as their contest on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Fall River still got an impressive performance from Cannon Oilar, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Keys, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Fall River's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Mt. Shasta, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-7.

Fall River will be playing at home against the Wolves at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29. As for Mt. Shasta, they will head out on the road to take on the Braves at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Modoc will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 939th, while the Bears are ranked 441st).
