Mason Beers gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Monday. He turned in nothing short of a gem, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Scotts Hill's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 5-13-1 when he doesn't).

Beers' effort led Scotts Hill over Madison and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are a perfect 10-0 against the Mustangs going back to April of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
