Baseball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant entered their matchup against White Oak on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Mt. Pleasant Tigers fell just short of the White Oak Roughnecks by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for White Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season.

Mt. Pleasant will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st. As for White Oak, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Hooks on the 7th.
