Soccer Game Preview: Norco vs. Hillcrest

The Norco Cougars will head out to face off against the Hillcrest Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norco will be strutting in after a victory while Hillcrest will be coming in after a loss.

Norco was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Poly 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Norco were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Hillcrest was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell 2-0 to Santiago.

The win got Norco back to even at 1-1. As for Hillcrest, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Norco's way against Hillcrest in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Norco made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
