Recap: First Philadelphia Prep vs. Roxborough Indians
First Philadelphia Prep couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a tough 61-39 defeat at the hands of Roxborough on Tuesday.
Leading Roxborough to victory were Sahir Smith and Josh Jones. Smith scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds, while Jones scored 13 points along with 6 assists and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Roxborough's points. Another player making a difference was Michael Strachan, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
First Philadelphia Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Roxborough, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
