Baseball Recap: Noble & Greenough Extends Winning Streak to Four

Noble & Greenough had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against the St. Sebastian's School Arrows by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Noble & Greenough's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luke Leger, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave Leger a new career-high. Another was Luke Maltacea, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Noble & Greenough pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for St. Sebastian's School, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Noble & Greenough will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Worcester Academy at 3:30 p.m. on the 21st. St. Sebastian's School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
