Baseball Recap: Southern Takes a Loss

Southern managed to slip by DeSales the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 9-1 to the Colts on Thursday. The Trojans just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Southern saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lariel Torres, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Southern's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for DeSales, the victory got them back to even at 16-16.

Coming up, Southern will venture away from home to take on Trinity at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Shamrocks will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight. As for DeSales, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jeffersonville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
