Softball Recap: Lake Minneola Sets Scoring Season-High Against Davenport

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Minneola). Everything went their way against the Davenport Broncos on Tuesday as they made off with a 16-8 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Amaliz Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Erika Longo was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Lake Minneola's record is now 11-13. As for Davenport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Lake Minneola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Davenport, they will face off against Haines City at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
