Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge fell victim to Lakewood and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rangers, falling 16-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Patriots in their meetings with the Rangers: they've now lost eight in a row.

Valley Forge now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lakewood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will head out to square off against Rocky River at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Patriots' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lakewood, they are taking a road trip to face off against Normandy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
