Baseball Recap: Jessieville Comes Up Short

Jessieville was the 14-8 winner over Murfreesboro when they last played one another back in March of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. The Jessieville Lions lost 12-1 to the Murfreesboro Rattlers on Friday.

Jessieville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Meredith, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Jessieville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Murfreesboro, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Jessieville will venture away from home to take on Cutter-Morning Star at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Murfreesboro has already played their next contest (against Hot Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
