Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Pocatello

Pocatello won the last time they faced Wood River and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunder walked away with an 11-8 win over the Wolverines. The victory was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Jakobi Nebeker, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with seven stolen bases and five runs. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Azlin Bullock, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Pocatello pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Wood River, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Pocatello will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolverines: the pair will be back at it again later today.
