Bishop Moore is 9-1 against Lake Highland Prep since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Riley Johnson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Ariana Lara made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Sabrina Griffin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Even though they lost, Bishop Moore kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Lake Highland Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-8 to Olympia. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly ten runs.

Lake Highland Prep's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bishop Moore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Everything went Bishop Moore's way against Lake Highland Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Bishop Moore made off with an 11-5 victory. Will Bishop Moore repeat their success, or does Lake Highland Prep has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
