Preview: Georgetown G-Men vs. Felicity-Franklin Cardinals
Georgetown is 8-2 against Felicity-Franklin since February of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Georgetown G-Men will head out on the road to face off against the Felicity-Franklin Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Georgetown's strategy against Miami Valley Christian Academy on Friday. Georgetown was the clear victor by a 53-32 margin over Miami Valley Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back wins for Georgetown.
Meanwhile, Felicity-Franklin made easy work of East Clinton on Tuesday and carried off a 57-31 win.
Zander Marlow was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with four steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Landen Forbes was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Georgetown has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for Felicity-Franklin, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.
Georgetown strolled past Felicity-Franklin when the teams last played back in January by a score of 55-39. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Felicity-Franklin's Jace Blackburn, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Georgetown still be able to contain Blackburn? There's only one way to find out.
