With a playoff win on the line, Saraland rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Murphy Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Saraland's got stronger as the match went on, holding Murphy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8, 25-3.

Saraland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryleigh Goff led the charge by getting four digs and four aces. That's the most aces Goff has posted over her last 13 contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniyah Smith, who had 12 assists and three aces.

Saraland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 32-7 record this season. As for Murphy, they moved to 10-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.
