Basketball Recap: Mardela Comes Up Short

Mardela was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Parkside Rams, falling 57-21. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-7.

It was another big night for Zion Oge, who posted 26 points for Parkside. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziyon Smith, who earned 12 points.

Mardela's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Parkside, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mardela will take on Wicomico at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wicomico will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Mardela surely won't give up without a fight. As for Parkside, they will square off against Pocomoke at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Parkside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
