Baseball Recap: Eden Christian Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Eden Christian Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Laurel Spartans 3-1. For Eden Christian Academy, this counts as revenge for the 13-12 victory Laurel walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Noah Emswiler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 15 Ks. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Eden Christian Academy's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brett Feldman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

The victory (which was Eden Christian Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Eden Christian Academy will take on Clairton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Laurel, they will challenge New Brighton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Laurel's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
