 Westlake and Oaks Christian are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Westlake Warriors will be playing at home against the Oaks Christian Lions at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. Westlake is coming into the  match hot, having won their last seven games.
 Westlake will head into Friday's  game having proved themselves against Newbury Park: Westlake took a 16-point  loss the last time they faced off against Newbury Park, but they managed to turn things around  on Friday. Westlake skirted past Newbury Park  4-2.
  Kaden Youmans and  Nate Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Youmans   didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Johnson   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over five innings pitched. At the plate,  Youmans  got on base  in three of his seven plate appearances with two  RBI and a  double, while  Johnson  went 2-for-7 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Nolan Johnson, who  got on base  in four of his seven plate appearances with a  stolen base.
 Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Oaks Christian's offense. They fell  5-0 to Huntington Beach on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, Oaks Christian's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Westlake pushed their record up to 21-3 with that  victory, which was their 16th straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Oaks Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
