Basketball Recap: Cook Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Tyler Terrell and Tucker Rountree

Cook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Tattnall County Warriors, falling 59-33. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 505th, while the Warriors are ranked 125th).

Cook's loss came despite strong showings from Tucker Rountree and Tyler Terrell. Rountree dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 boards, while Terrell posted four points. That was a full 51.5% of Cook's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points.

Cook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Tattnall County, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Cook wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-63 win against Appling County on the 18th. As for Tattnall County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 59-48 victory against Crisp County on the 18th.
