Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Marina Soliz and Zoey Aguayo Lead Sotomayor to Victory

Sotomayor saw some tournament action on Saturday. They skirted past the Prince of Peace Eagles 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the WILDCATS.

Sotomayor was led to victory by Zoey Aguayo and Marina Soliz. Aguayo had 13 digs and nine assists, while Soliz had 11 digs and three assists. Those 13 digs gave Aguayo a new career-high.

Despite the loss, Prince of Peace still got an impressive performance from Grace Kelly, who had 12 digs and two aces. Kelly has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Sotomayor's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Prince of Peace, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Sotomayor wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against La Grange on the 16th. As for Prince of Peace, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Victoria East on the 16th.
