Soccer Recap: St. Edmond Comes Up Short

St. Edmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Mason City Mohawks, falling 4-1. If St. Edmond were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to Mason City when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Edmond's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mason City, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

Coming up, St. Edmond will head out on the road to square off against Des Moines East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mason City, they will square off against Ankeny Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ankeny Centennial's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Mason City's offense will have their work cut out for them.
