Recap: Worth County Tigers vs. North Andrew Cardinals
This season hasn't been kind to the Worth County Tigers, who are still winless after their ninth game. They fell 49-36 to North Andrew on Tuesday. Worth County has not had much luck with North Andrew recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kynah Steele, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Steele set a new season high mark in blocks with three. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristen Tracy, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Worth County's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for North Andrew, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worth County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gilman City at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. As for North Andrew, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop LeBlond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bishop LeBlond presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Andrew in Missouri (Bishop LeBlond is ranked 14th, while North Andrew is ranked 290th).
